Will never stay there again

There was no hot water in our room;ran the tap for 20 minutes and still no luck there,the hallways are musty.however the breakfast was good, good service at the bar as well.

The fact when I booked and paid for this room it was rated 4...

The fact when I booked and paid for this room it was rated 4 xxxx . It was far from 4 stars Also having paid $282 dollars when I arrived with my wife thinking I had booked a double room apparently not so . I then was made to pay another $142 making it $424 for a very / very ordinary room . Consequently I would not under any circumstances advise people to book this hotel . It has left a very nasty memory of Cuba for me .

The rooms on the 25th floor, the breakfast and the location were my favorites

The room i was given initially, below the 19th floor were unsatisfactory and I had to ask to be moved to another set of rooms along with my family.

Cuba has hop on and hop off bus to see the city.

Nice room space with city and ocean view.

No good restaurant in the hotel itself. Hotel travel agent is not friendly introduce a bad tour guide to us. The tour guide did not show us capital building of Cuba. Poor transportation use old taxi , the travel agent does't have her own car. Take us to a restaurant with cat and dog walking around. Flies all around us.

Landmark hotel

The room was large, very comfortable and quiet. The view was simply amazing. The breakfast is great, especially by the pool in the morning sunshine.

I was traveling for work and needed wifi. Getting it going proved to be difficult. In addition, login and password expire and obtaining new ones is not straightforward. There's some confusion between the front desk and the 20th floor "VIP front desk".

We spent an excellent stay at Try Havana Libre and we would like to thank all the staff who was very nice. The breakfast was very good, we had WiFi in our room. everything was perfect except the lift was quite old and slow which is not a big concern. We will stay again in this hotel.

Horrible sad and mad, just embarrassed

The room had a ROACH infestation included the beds. We did not sleep or take advantage of the breakfast. I paid almost $800.00 for 2 nights and would love to be compensated. I also have pictures and video of the roaches. I did complain and they clean the room and even after that there was still reaches. The answers I would get is this is Cuba.

Overpriced hotel in Havana

Taste of pastries offered at breakfast menu. View of Havana from our room. Location of hotel, as we could walk around and easily find bookstores, restaurants and money exchange.

There are lots of things I did not like about this hotel. Perhaps, the worse thing of all occurred the last night of my stay when I found a coackroach crawling up the wall near my bed (mind you, I was in a room on the 24th floor!). I complained about this but, as with many other things I found unpleasant in this hotel, nobody gave me a satisfactory answer or apologised for that. When checking in, I was asked for a compulsory 50 CUC (nearly 50 euro) deposit for the use of telephone (local calls were even charged for) and miscellaneous expenses, a returnable deposit at the moment of checking out (minus expenses, which in my case were few but at a really high price). Not all the six elevators were running at the time of my stay and it was confusing to get from my room to the restaurant where breakfast was served; I never knew which floor to choose (1st or 2nd floor) since that depends on the elevator one is using. People working at the restaurant where breakfast was served were really rude, they were more worried about cleaning up the tables than serving coffee, milk or water; I even have to call the floor manager in order to get some coffee! Disgraceful!. I had problems everyday when trying to use the ground floor toilet facilities, their doors open with a key that have a magnetic band, a type of key I did not have because I was on the 24th floor where all rooms open with a different type of key. This was particularly bothering if I needed to go to the toilet coming in from the street as I had to go all the way up to my room in the 24th floor. In sum, I paid a lot of money for a room in a substandard hotel. I really regret my decision to book a room at the Tryp Habana Libre hotel. Next time I will consider other lodging options which are much better and cheaper than this.

Breakfast quite varied

No WiFi.I was not even granted extended late check out beyond 12:00 pm. In fact I had to pay 8 CUC ($ 8.5) for every extra hour post check out. The water faucet in the room and bath tub are all rusted.
